Tasting notes
Our everyday house blend and the one most people start a subscription on. Smooth, sweet, and forgiving however you brew it. The cup you leave the porch light on for.
Best for: the daily cup, drip machines, and easy mornings.
From the roaster
Porch Light is the blend we built for the way most people actually drink coffee: every day, a little on autopilot, before the day has fully started. It needed to be forgiving. Brew it strong, brew it weak, leave it on the warmer a touch too long, and it still tastes like coffee should.
We blend a washed Colombian for sweetness and clarity with a natural Brazilian for body and that toasted-almond depth, then roast it to a true medium so the chocolate comes forward without losing the fruit underneath. It is the cup we leave the porch light on for, and the one we reach for ourselves most mornings.
How we brew it
The exact numbers we use on Porch Light at the roastery. Treat them as a starting point, then adjust to your taste.

The workhorse. Set it and forget it.
The file
Every bag carries a lot code. Scan it, and this is the file it opens. Plain facts about where the coffee came from and what we paid for it.
Lot on record
WC-2410
Huila & Cerrado, Colombia & Brazil
Above the floor
Both components bought above the Fair Trade floor, on contract with the same two co-ops we have worked with for years.
Pairs well
A sugarcane-process decaf that nobody believes is decaf. Full flavor, zero buzz, so the evening cup stays an evening cup. Chemical-free decaffeination, full traceability on the lot code.
A bold espresso blend built for milk drinks and late starts. Pulls thick and syrupy, cuts clean through a flat white, and holds its own as a straight shot.
A washed Yirgacheffe that tastes like a sunrise in a cup. Bright, floral, and tea-like. We roast it light to let the farm do the talking.
